FIRST BAPTIT CHURCH, MOUNT OLIVE, MS

First Baptist Church of Mount Olive, MS was founded in 1900 and currently meets in a recently renovated three-story brick structure built in 1927.  We are a Southern Baptist congregation prayerfully seeking the man God will bring to lead our church.  The church has a mature congregation that is willing to adapt to expand outreach and is financially sound.  Despite economic and demographic changes in the community, we hope to continue to reach and influence the surrounding area under the leadership of a bi-vocational pastor.  Our needs include spiritual leadership through preaching and teaching God’s Word, pastoral care, encouragement in prayer, counseling, and effective administrative management.  We seek a servant-minded individual with a vision who will lead and challenge us and will motivate members to reach the community for Christ.  The church has a strong bond between other congregations in the community.  A parsonage is available next door to the church.  Seminary training is preferred.
